We’d like to take a moment to begin introducing our new teachers to the community. We are very fortunate to have some great additions to our team at Riverside this year. The first staff member to introduce is Mrs. Reynolds.
Mrs. Reynolds decided to become a teacher after having left the job market for 12 years to be a stay at home mom. When she was in college Mrs. Reynolds did a lot of tutoring and also had the joy of teaching her own children how to read. She enjoyed thinking of ways to explain things and thought teaching would be a good fit.
Mrs. Reynolds earned her Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix and then taught in the Scappoose School District before her and her husband moved to Irrigon. She was happy when a position at RHS opened because it is close to where she lives in Irrigon. Mrs. Reynolds said, “I have grown to really like the staff at RHS and look forward to getting to know everyone better, and I also really like the students. I worked for a couple years as a substitute teacher and was always really impressed with how kind and respectful the students are at RHS.”

La Sra. Reynolds decidió ser maestra después de haber dejado el mercado laboral durante 12 años para ser ama de casa. Cuando estaba en la universidad, la Sra. Reynolds impartía muchas clases particulares y también tenía la alegría de enseñar a sus propios hijos a leer. La Sra. Reynolds obtuvo su Maestría en Educación de la Universidad de Phoenix y luego enseñó en el Distrito Escolar Scappoose antes de que ella y su esposo se mudaran a Irrigon. Estaba feliz cuando se abrió un puesto en RHS porque está cerca de donde ella vive en Irrigon. La Sra. Reynolds dijo: “Me ha gustado mucho el personal de RHS y espero conocer mejor a todos, y también me gustan mucho los estudiantes. Trabajé durante un par de años como maestra suplente y siempre me impresionó mucho lo amables y respetuosos que son los estudiantes en RHS ”.
