Another new staff member at Riverside this year is Ms. Alvarez, who is teaching 7th grade Language Arts and 7th grade Writing. Ms. Alvarez grew up in Bonner Ferry, Idaho and earned her college degree from the University of Idaho. After graduating from college Ms. Alvarez worked as a property manager before she moved to Boardman to pursue her teaching career.
Ms. Alverez has many hobbies such as spending time outdoors, painting, and spending time with her pets. Growing up Ms. Alvarez was very active in activities, particularly in dance. She began going to dance lessons at age 5 and still loves to spend time in the studio today.
She wanted to pursue being a teacher as she finds teaching to be very meaningful and she enjoys helping students elevate their knowledge. Ms. Alvarez chose to teach at Riverside as she had heard many positive statements about the students and teachers at the school. Ms. Alvarez said, “I really enjoy working with all the staff at RHS. They have been extremely supportive and are always willing to lend a helping hand.”
Otro nuevo miembro del personal de Riverside este año es la Sra. Álvarez, quien está enseñando Artes del Lenguaje y Escritura en el séptimo grado. La Sra. Alvarez creció en Bonner Ferry, Idaho y obtuvo su título universitario de la Universidad de Idaho. Después de graduarse de la universidad, la Sra. Álvarez trabajó como administradora de propiedades antes de mudarse a Boardman para seguir su carrera docente.
La Sra. Alverez tiene muchos pasatiempos, como pasar tiempo al aire libre, pintar y pasar tiempo con sus mascotas. Al crecer, la Sra. Álvarez fue muy activa en actividades, particularmente en danza. Comenzó a ir a clases de baile a los 5 años y todavía hoy le encanta pasar tiempo en el estudio.
Quería seguir siendo maestra, ya que encuentra que la enseñanza es muy significativa y le gusta ayudar a los estudiantes a elevar sus conocimientos. La Sra. Álvarez eligió enseñar en Riverside porque había escuchado muchas declaraciones positivas sobre los estudiantes y maestros de la escuela. La Sra. Álvarez dijo: “Realmente disfruto trabajar con todo el personal de RHS. Han sido un gran apoyo y siempre están dispuestos a echar una mano ”.
