District officials have been monitoring the air quality conditions since yesterday (9/12) and will throughout the week using https://www.airnow.gov. Currently the rating is classified as “unhealthy” so at this time building administrators have been notified that all recesses and PE will be held indoors until further notice. District officials will continue to monitor the air quality conditions and will make adjustments to practices as needed. Please refer to your specific school websites for details related to your child’s activities.

If you were at one of our Boardman schools today you may have noticed the additional presence of Boardman Police Department during morning arrival. There was no risk of harm for students and staff, but we felt it important to have law enforcement visible as a reassurance to everyone as they wrap up their investigation from last week. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to follow up with your building administration or the SRO.
